SHANGHAI, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) (Reporter Wang Wei) China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation to undertake the localization of the “ship power plant equipment development” project, after nearly two years of scientific research by the relevant units, the 19th through the product technology appraisal. This is China's first self-developed ship automatic power plant equipment.

　　The reporter learned at the press conference held on the 19th, the project makes extensive use of modularization, standardization design, successfully solved many key technical problems in the development of complete sets of equipment for ship power station systems, and achieved a number of innovative results.

　　Domestication of “complete sets of ship power station equipment development” project to 7-110,000 tons of oil tankers for the goal of localization of automatic power station, successfully developed with independent intellectual property rights, in line with international norms, the use of upright frame shielding structure, modular design of the ship's power station main power distribution board and emergency power distribution board.

　　Meanwhile, it has also developed the power station monitoring system with independent intellectual property rights. Its main generator set through the introduction of digestion and absorption, breakthroughs in the design and manufacture of major components of key technologies, the whole machine parts localization rate of more than 70%, and formed an industrial scale.

　　At present, China has become the third largest shipbuilding country in the world after Japan and South Korea, and the share of shipbuilding industry in the international market has reached 12%. However, because China's ship equipment can not be independently supporting, seriously restricting the international competitiveness of China's ship supporting industry, resulting in China's ship supporting equipment actual ship loading rate of less than 40%.

　　Ship power station equipment, including main generator sets, emergency generator sets, main/emergency switchboards, is an important equipment necessary for ships and ocean engineering equipment, with huge market potential. Therefore, the successful development of the project and the formation of industrial scale will be a new economic growth point for China's shipbuilding industry, which can directly reduce the shipbuilding cost of the assembly plant and enhance the international competitiveness of China's shipbuilding.
